The things I keep doing to myself

Why on earth do I keep doing this to myself?
I am trying to find the inspiration to get back into writing. I started doing a handwritten journal again this summer. I've kept it in my purse and written in it a LOT, but my handwriting can't keep up with my thoughts nearly so much as my typing can. So it's been a while since I've written. And how do I get back into writing my books if I am not practicing my writing every single day? There really isn't an option to do this!

I gave my Facebook blog over to Spintronix last year for re-publication, thinking that it would somehow inspire me to continue blogging if I had my previous work reprinted on a wider platform. Now here I am over a year later and I don't think I posted one single new thing since the re-pub. Until today. The truth is that there are plenty of tools out there to make this whole process SO easy to do! I should just be able to write my books, edit them, and then publish them in just a few taps on my phone now. It's not like when I first published Learning to Breathe and had to go through a whole process of using a word processor and getting all of the formatting perfect and working with a publishing company.

At any rate, I need to learn to forgive myself for spending so much time away from writing. Maybe if I'm not so hard on myself for NOT writing, I can get back into ACTUALLY writing without feeling so bad about it. So here's the real question now though... What do I hope to accomplish with having a blog?

First of all, I want to practice writing for an audience on a daily basis. Whether I'm telling you stories or just updating you on my life or letting you know how progress is going on the book series, it's all possible practice for me. Secondly, and more importantly, I want to create a place where color guard fans can come together and share experiences, give feedback on my writing, and also leave suggestions on where my character's lives should take them.

With that being said, here we go. Clean slate, and I'm off to explore where this revived project will take me. I've uploaded my Spinsation stuff to my Google Drive so now I can access it no matter where I am or what I'm doing. No more excuses. I'm taking you on this journey with me, so let's go.
